The Provence-Alpes-Cote D’Azur region is famous for its aerospace and nuclear industry. It is the most vigorous economic area in France. Metals-Piping has participated in the supply of zirconium seamless tubes for a heat exchanger to a local engineering company. The zirconium tubes are to be used in a nuclear power plant which require “Export License for Dual-Use Items and Technologies of PRC”. This export license is issued by China’s Ministry of Commerce.

The zirconium seamless tubes supplied are manufactured to ASTM B523/ ASME SB-523 grade R60702. Size specification: Φ25.4 mm x 1.2 mm x 3.56 m. According to the standard specificaiton, longitudinal tension test, PMI chemistry test, flare test, and reverse flattening test shall be conducted for each lot(heat number) of the products. Additional NDT tests may be requried for each of the Zr702 seamless tubes such as ultrasonic test, eddy current test, hydraulic test, or pneumatic test.
